ABOUT

Stay Fresh is an annual, family-friendly live music festival supporting local and national charities which takes place in Dunoon, Scotland.

Running for over 8 years and featuring a number of local and national musical artists, the festival has grown in to one of the most anticipated events in the Dunoon live events calendar. Since its inception, Stay Fresh has had the local community at the heart of it with local bands being invited to play for local causes.

From its initial concept by Kenny McLay & Callum Newall from local band, "SOAP", the festival has grown in size and ambition from its humble beginnings in the foyer of the Queen's Hall to taking over the main hall and stage for the last 4 years, Stay Fresh has raised over £35,000 for local and national charities.

Over the years the success of Stay Fresh has received various accolades for its contribution to charities. For their work on the event, "SOAP" was awarded the Argyll and Bute Youth Volunteer award in 2020, and were finalists for the Community award at the Young Scot Awards in 2022.

Sponsored by local businesses and featuring not only incredible live music but Stalls, Raffles, Face Painting, a full bar and much more, Stay Fresh is a fantastic night out for the whole family with kids of all ages welcome and catered for.

We hope you can join us on the 20th of September 2025 for what promises to be another night of outstanding music and fun.

STAY FRESH 2024 RETROSPECTIVE

First and foremost, we are proud to say that Stay Fresh 2024 raised a record breaking £8000 for local and national charities. This is the largest amount raised by the event to date and brings the grand total raised by Stay Fresh to £35,000. A huge thanks to everyone who attended the gig, donated prizes,  and sponsored the event as well as all those who gave up their own time to play the show and work behind the scenes to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible.

On the night we took you back to the glory days of the 1980's. SOAP, Toast, Liam Sommerville & The Streetlight band, The July Johnstones, Zucchini and Connor Drummond brought you some incredible musical entertainment with night completed by the now mandatory set by the Stay Fresh Supergroup. Every year we are blown away by the volume of musical talent we have in Dunoon and beyond. The people behind the music are some of the best we know!

This year we proudly supported Cash for Kids, Heart Start Scotland, our sports fund, Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band New York Trip, Dunoon Grammar School Tanzania Volunteering trip and the Dunoon Grammar School Youth Philanthropy Initiative.

Supporting local causes has and will always be a core part of what we do and we are looking forward to sharing more on this in the coming weeks.

As always, we had the best group of volunteers, sound technicians, LiveArgyll staff, performers and spectators that we could wish for. Without you there is no Stay Fresh

We'd like to take a moment to thank all of our generous sponsors, details of each can be found on our Sponsors page who make this event possible.

We would also like to extend our thanks to CB Music Photography for capturing the spirit of the event. We will be putting these up on this site soon.
