The Hellfire Club

The Hellfire Club is an Americana band hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Known for their soulful, country-infused take on the genre, they are an eight-piece ensemble that blends strong melodies with rich, all-stops-pulled

instrumentation. The band has been a notable presence in Glasgow's music scene, delivering instantly memorable songs that resonate with fans of roots and Americana music.

They've released three critically acclaimed albums to date. Their first, Songs for Fallen Stars, came out in 2015, showcasing a mix of classic Americana with a Scottish twist, evoking influences like The Jayhawks and Neil Young.

Their second album, A Different Song, released on September 4, 2020, dives deeper into themes of lost love, longing, and aging, wrapped in a melancholic yet vibrant soundscape featuring instruments like saxophone, harmonica, and fiddle. Critics praised its variety and the band's distinctive voice within the Americana genre. While de V on their earliest album are less documented, it's clear they've built a solid reputation over the years.

The lineup includes Willie Brown (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano), Helen Brown (vocals), Rab Armour (vocals, guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin), Mark Ferrari (vocals, bass), Robert Anderson (drums), Kenny Irvine (vocals, piano, organ), and Ivan Marples (saxophone), with additional contributions from Nick Ronan on fiddle for recordings.

Their music often reflects a dry, west-of-Scotland humour alongside powerful instrumental moments, making them a standout act in Glasgow's vibrant music community.

They're not to be confused with other bands sharing the "Hellfire Club" name-like the 18th-century rakish societies or various rock outfits worldwide. This Scottish group has carved out its niche with a modern yet timeless sound, earning accolades for their mature, richly textured songwriting and dynamic live performances.

They are looking forward to their STAY FRESH debut.
